It switched to [Model A](/source/Ford_Model_A_(1927-1931)) production in 1928, and built [M8 Greyhound](/source/M8_Greyhound) and [M20 Armored Utility Car](/source/M20_Armored_Utility_Car) [armored car](/source/Armored_car_(military))s during [World War II](/source/World_War_II). It was the site of [pickup truck](/source/Ford_F-Series) production for 40 years before that operation stopped in 1964. In 1985, it was selected as the site of production for the Ford Taurus and [Mercury Sable](/source/Mercury_Sable) midsize sedans.
