# Chevron B3

The **Chevron B3** (also known as the **Chevron GT**) was the first [sports racing car](/source/Sports_car_racing) that was developed and built by British manufacturer [Chevron](/source/Chevron_Cars_Ltd), in 1966. It was designed by British engineer, [Derek Bennett](/source/Derek_Bennett_(engineer)). It was powered by a [naturally-aspirated](/source/Naturally-aspirated) 1.6 L (98 cu in) [Ford twin-cam](/source/Ford_Twin_Cam) [four-cylinder engine](/source/Inline-four_engine). Over its racing career, spanning two years, it won a respectable 8 races (plus 1 additional class win), and took 10 podium finishes.[1][2][3]
