# Chequilla

**Chequilla** is a municipality located in the [province of Guadalajara](/source/Guadalajara_(province)), [Castile-La Mancha](/source/Castile-La_Mancha), Spain. According to the 2004 [census](/source/Census) ([INE](/source/Instituto_Nacional_de_Estad%C3%ADstica_(Spain))), the municipality has a population of 19 inhabitants.

In 2019, a law intending to replace the representative form of government underpinned by the plenary and the elected municipal councillors by the participatory model of *[concejo abierto](/source/Concejo_abierto)*, in which all the electors are part of the deliberative assembly, was passed.[1]
