# Cheongwon County

**Cheongwon County** (Korean: 청원군; RR: *Cheongwon-gun*) was a [county](/source/Administrative_divisions_of_South_Korea) in [North Chungcheong Province](/source/North_Chungcheong_Province), [South Korea](/source/South_Korea). It was dissolved on July 1, 2014 and consolidated to [Cheongju](/source/Cheongju).

## Government

The [Korea Food and Drug Administration](/source/Korea_Food_and_Drug_Administration) (later [Ministry of Food and Drug Safety](/source/Ministry_of_Food_and_Drug_Safety)),[1][2] and [Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention](/source/Korea_Centers_for_Disease_Control_and_Prevention) were/are headquartered in the Osong Health Technology Administration Complex, which was once in Cheongwon County.[3]
