***Cheech And Chong*** is the 1971 debut album of [Cheech & Chong](/source/Cheech_%26_Chong), produced by [Lou Adler](/source/Lou_Adler). It features "Dave", one of their most famous routines. The album peaked at No. 28 on the [*Billboard* Top LP's & Tape](/source/Billboard_200) chart the week of March 4, 1972.[3] The album was nominated for [Best Comedy Recording](/source/Grammy_Award_for_Best_Comedy_Album) at the [14th Grammy Awards](/source/14th_Grammy_Awards), but lost to [Lily Tomlin's](/source/Lily_Tomlin) *[This Is a Recording](/source/This_Is_a_Recording_(Lily_Tomlin_album))*.

At Christmas that year, a single was released with "Dave" on the B-side and with "[Santa Claus and His Old Lady](/source/Santa_Claus_and_His_Old_Lady)" (a sketch not available on any of the duo's LPs, but it does appear on a Dr Demento compilation) on the A-side. The single peaked at No. 38.
