# Chauha

**Chuha** is a town in [Lamki Chuha Municipality](/source/Lamki_Chuha_Municipality) in [Kailali District](/source/Kailali_District) in [Sudurpashchim Province](/source/Sudurpashchim_Province) of western [Nepal](/source/Nepal). The formerly [Village development committee](/source/Village_development_committee_(Nepal)) was merged along with [Baliya](/source/Baliya) VDC to form the new municipality on 18 May 2014.[1][2] At the time of the [1991 Nepal census](/source/1991_Nepal_census) it had a population of 10,145 living in 1,497 individual households.[3]
