**Chasity Verret Martinez** is an American politician from Louisiana. A member of the [Democratic Party](/source/Democratic_Party_(United_States)), she is a member to the [Louisiana House of Representatives](/source/Louisiana_House_of_Representatives).

## Career

Martinez was elected to the [Iberville Parish](/source/Iberville_Parish) Council in October 2023, defeating incumbent Louis “Pete” Kelley.[1] She ran in the 2026 special election for the 60th district in the Louisiana House of Representatives, which [Chad Brown](/source/Chad_Brown_(politician)) had represented.[2] She defeated [Republican Party](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)) nominee Brad Daigle, the president of the Iberville Parish Council, in the general election.[3]
