**Charlotte Hudson** (born 4 January 1972)[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] is an English actress and television presenter. Hudson was born in Sheffield.[1][2] Her brother is actor [Robert Hudson](/source/Robert_Hudson_(actor)).[1]

## Education and early career

After attending [Fitzwilliam College](/source/Fitzwilliam_College), [Cambridge](/source/Cambridge),[3] Hudson started in television co-presenting [BBC](/source/BBC)'s *[Watchdog](/source/Watchdog_(TV_programme))* with [Anne Robinson](/source/Anne_Robinson), replacing [Alice Beer](/source/Alice_Beer) in 1999.[2] She presented *What's the Story*- and *Are You Being Cheated* for [Channel 5](/source/Channel_5_(British_TV_channel)).[4][5][2]

## Career

She presented the [Sky One](/source/Sky_One) television series *[Brainiac: History Abuse](/source/Brainiac%3A_History_Abuse)*, a [spin-off](/source/Spin-off_(media)) from the award-winning *[Brainiac: Science Abuse](/source/Brainiac%3A_Science_Abuse)*, which she also co-presented.[6][7] Hudson has also appeared as an actress in various UK TV shows. She appeared as a guest on both *[Big Brother's Little Brother](/source/Big_Brother's_Little_Brother)* and *[Big Brother's Big Mouth](/source/Big_Brother's_Big_Mouth)*.[8][9]

Hudson also appeared in the [sketch show](/source/Sketch_show) *[Bruiser](/source/Bruiser_(TV_series))* opposite [Mitchell & Webb](/source/Mitchell_%26_Webb), [Olivia Colman](/source/Olivia_Colman), [Martin Freeman](/source/Martin_Freeman) and [Matthew Holness](/source/Matthew_Holness).[10] She was one half of comedy sketch double act Two Left Hands with comedian Leila Hackett, performing at the [Edinburgh Festival Fringe](/source/Edinburgh_Festival_Fringe) in August 2007 and 2009.[11]
