# Charles Rafferty

**Charles Rafferty** is an American [poet](/source/Poet). In 2009 he received a fellowship from the [National Endowment for the Arts](/source/National_Endowment_for_the_Arts).[1] His poetry has appeared in *[The New Yorker](/source/The_New_Yorker)*, *[O: Oprah Magazine](/source/O:_Oprah_Magazine)*, *[Prairie Schooner](/source/Prairie_Schooner)*, and *[Ploughshares](/source/Ploughshares)*, among other [magazines](/source/Magazine), [websites](/source/Website), and [anthologies](/source/Anthologies).[2] He co-directs [Albertus Magnus College](/source/Albertus_Magnus_College)'s [MFA in Creative Writing](/source/MFA_in_Creative_Writing) program, and teaches at the Westport Writers’ Workshop.[3] As of 2021, he lives in [Sandy Hook, Connecticut](/source/Sandy_Hook,_Connecticut).[3]
