# Charles Gray-Stack

**Charles Maurice Gray-Stack** (1912–1985) was [Dean of Ardfert](/source/Dean_of_Ardfert) and [Chancellor](/source/Chancellor_(ecclesiastical)) of [St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick](/source/St_Mary's_Cathedral,_Limerick) from 1966 until his death.[1]

Gray-Stack was born in [Armagh](/source/Armagh), educated at [Trinity College, Dublin](/source/Trinity_College,_Dublin)[2] and [ordained](/source/Ordained) in 1939. He began his ecclesiastical career with [curacies](/source/Curate) at [Eglish](/source/Eglish), [Clonevan](/source/Clonevan), [Killarney](/source/Killarney) and [Rathkeale](/source/Rathkeale). He held [incumbencies](/source/Incumbent_(ecclesiastical)) at [Adare](/source/Adare) from 1953 to 1961; and at [Kenmare](/source/Kenmare) from 1961.[citation needed]
