'''Chapman Point''' ({{Coord|65|55|S|61|20|W|source:GNIS|display=inline,title}}) is a low rounded [headland](/source/headland) marking the eastern limit of [Scar Inlet](/source/Scar_Inlet) on the north side of [Jason Peninsula](/source/Jason_Peninsula), [Graham Land](/source/Graham_Land). It was surveyed by the [Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey](/source/Falkland_Islands_Dependencies_Survey) in 1955, and named by the [UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee](/source/UK_Antarctic_Place-Names_Committee) after [Sydney Chapman](/source/Sydney_Chapman_(mathematician)), British geophysicist, President of the Commission for the [International Geophysical Year](/source/International_Geophysical_Year), 1957–58.
