It served as the home ground of [K League](/source/K_League) side [Gyeongnam FC](/source/Gyeongnam_FC) and the [Korea National League](/source/Korea_National_League) side [Changwon City FC](/source/Changwon_City_FC) prior to the construction of the [Changwon Football Center](/source/Changwon_Football_Center) in 2009.
