**Chandpur-5** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Hajiganj](/source/Hajiganj_Upazila) and [Shahrasti](/source/Shahrasti_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from the Comilla-23 constituency when the former Comilla District was split into three districts: [Brahmanbaria](/source/Brahmanbaria_District), [Comilla](/source/Comilla_District), and [Chandpur](/source/Chandpur_District).
