'''Champlan''' ({{IPA|fr|ʃɑ̃plɑ̃|-|Fr-Paris--Champlan.ogg}}) is a [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) located {{Convert|16|km|mi|0}} to the southwest of [Paris](/source/Paris), in the [Essonne](/source/Essonne) [department](/source/Departments_of_France) in [Île-de-France](/source/%C3%8Ele-de-France) in northern [France](/source/France).

Although now completely enveloped in the [Paris Metropolitan Area](/source/Paris_aire_urbaine), the town has conserved its rural character in spite of its direct proximity to the capital, and thus retains its slogan of "Champlan, the meadow of Paris".
