# Chad Fann

**Chad Fitzgerald Fann** (born June 7, 1970) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [tight end](/source/Tight_end) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL) for the [Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals](/source/Arizona_Cardinals) and [San Francisco 49ers](/source/San_Francisco_49ers) from 1993 to 1999. He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Ole Miss Rebels](/source/Ole_Miss_Rebels_football) and [Florida A&M Rattlers](/source/Florida_A%26M_Rattlers_football). He played 72 career games in the NFL while making 15 starts.[1]

Fann signed with the [Minnesota Vikings](/source/Minnesota_Vikings) on March 31, 2000, but retired on July 26, 2000.[2]
