==Demographics==
As of 2019, Chabelley has a population of around 1,011 inhabitants. Most residents belong to various mainly [Afro-Asiatic](/source/Afro-Asiatic)-speaking ethnic groups, with the [Issa](/source/Issa_(clan)) [Somali](/source/Somali_people) predominant.

==Transportation==
The [Ethio-Djibouti Railways](/source/Ethio-Djibouti_Railways) passes through the village. Nearby towns and villages include [Ali Sabieh](/source/Ali_Sabieh) (65 km), [Goubetto](/source/Goubetto) (15 km), [Ali Adde](/source/Ali_Adde) (55 km) and [Holhol](/source/Holhol) (29 km).
