# Cerro Arenas

**Cerro Arenas** is a mountain in the [Andes](/source/Andes) of [Santiago Metropolitan Region](/source/Santiago_Metropolitan_Region), [Chile](/source/Chile). It is located west of [San José](/source/San_Jos%C3%A9_(volcano)) volcano and east of [Cerro El Morado](/source/Cerro_El_Morado). The latter mountain lies on the opposite side of the valley of the Estero Morado, a headwater stream of the [Volcán River](/source/Volc%C3%A1n_River).
