# Cenobio

***Cenobio*** is an Italian language quarterly [literary magazine](/source/Literary_magazine) based in [Lugano](/source/Lugano), [Canton Ticino](/source/Canton_Ticino), Switzerland.[1] It is the largest literary magazine in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland.[2]

## History and profile

The magazine was founded by [Pier Riccardo Frigeri](/source/Pier_Riccardo_Frigeri) in 1952.[1] After his retirement in 2002, Manuel Rossello became the [editor-in-chief](/source/Editor-in-chief) until 2007, followed by Pietro Montorfani in 2008. Its current editor-in-chief is Pietro Montorfani.[2]

*Cenobio* is published on a quarterly basis.[3]
