# Catherine Taft

**Catherine Taft** is an [art critic](/source/Art_critic), [curator](/source/Curator), and writer.[1][2] Taft has been published in *[Artforum](/source/Artforum)*,[3][4] *[i-D Magazine](/source/I-D),*[5] *[Modern Painters](/source/Modern_Painters_(magazine))*,[6][7] *[ArtReview](/source/ArtReview)*, *Metropolis-M*,[8][9] *[Kaleidoscope Publishing](/source/Kaleidoscope_Publishing)*, and multiple [exhibition catalogs](/source/Exhibition_catalog) and [artist books](/source/Artist_book).[1][10] She cowrote *Part-Objects*, an artist book for [Scott Benzel](/source/Scott_Benzel) that was published by Human Resources and Lockitch Press.[11][12][13]

Taft was a Curatorial Associate in the department of [Architecture](/source/Architecture) and [Contemporary Art](/source/Contemporary_Art) of the [Getty Research Institute](/source/Getty_Research_Institute) in [Los Angeles](/source/Los_Angeles).[10] She helped organize the [Pacific Standard Time: Art in Los Angeles](/source/Pacific_Standard_Time:_Art_in_L.A.,_1945-1980) (2011).[14][15]
