The event featured 12 matches across both days. The first day saw [Kazuchika Okada](/source/Kazuchika_Okada) defeating [Evil](/source/Evil_(wrestler)) in the main event with other prominent matches including [Jay White](/source/Jay_White) defeating [Tomohiro Ishii](/source/Tomohiro_Ishii). The second day main event saw [Kota Ibushi](/source/Kota_Ibushi) successfully defend the [IWGP Intercontinental Championship](/source/IWGP_Intercontinental_Championship) against [Tetsuya Naito](/source/Tetsuya_Naito), making this the first time the IWGP Intercontinental Championship was defended separately from the [IWGP Heavyweight Championship](/source/IWGP_Heavyweight_Championship) since [Wrestle Kingdom 14](/source/Wrestle_Kingdom_14).
