==History==
The name of the village comes from the medieval fortress known as Chasteau Cullier. This castle was destroyed by the [duke of Épernon](/source/Bernard_de_Nogaret_de_La_Valette_d'%C3%89pernon) in 1633 by order of Louis XIII, king of France.

The [Séoune](/source/S%C3%A9oune) forms most of the commune's south-eastern border.
