# Cartland Bridge

**Cartland Bridge** is a road bridge on the A73 north-west of [Lanark](/source/Lanark), [South Lanarkshire](/source/South_Lanarkshire) which spans the [Mouse Water](/source/Mouse_Water), a tributary of the [River Clyde](/source/River_Clyde). The three-span bridge was built in 1822, to designs by the engineer [Thomas Telford](/source/Thomas_Telford). It is a [category B listed building](/source/Listed_building#Scotland).[3]
