Bundesliga](/source/2._Bundesliga) for clubs [VfB Oldenburg](/source/VfB_Oldenburg) and [FC 08 Homburg](/source/FC_08_Homburg). After Homburg was relegated to the [Regionalliga West/Südwest](/source/Regionalliga_West%2FS%C3%BCdwest), he moved to [1. FC Saarbrücken](/source/1._FC_Saarbr%C3%BCcken) in 1995, which had also been relegated due to license withdrawal. After just six months he switched to [Hannover 96](/source/Hannover_96) in the 2.
