He had a career year in [2022](/source/2022_Louisiana_Ragin'_Cajuns_baseball_team) batting .374, with 16 home runs, along with 68 RBI, and 25 stolen bases. He was one of just three NCAA Division I players to reach 15 plus homers and 25 plus steals.[2] For his performance on the year he was named First Team All Sun-Belt, and named First Team NCAA Division I South All-Region.[3] In 2022, he played [collegiate summer baseball](/source/Collegiate_summer_baseball) with the [Bourne Braves](/source/Bourne_Braves) of the [Cape Cod Baseball League](/source/Cape_Cod_Baseball_League).[4] Roccaforte would take a slight step down in the 2023 season having a .318 batting average with eight home runs, and 55 RBI, along with a program record 26 doubles.[5] Roccaforte finished his career with a .325 batting average, with 28 home runs, and 145 RBI's.[6] ## Professional career Roccaforte was selected by the [Kansas City Royals](/source/Kansas_City_Royals) in the second round with the 66th overall selection of the [2023 Major League Baseball draft](/source/2023_Major_League_Baseball_draft).[7][8] On July 25, 2023, Roccaforte signed with the Royals for a $897,500 signing bonus.[9] Roccaforte made his professional debut after signing with the [Arizona Complex League Royals](/source/Arizona_Complex_League_Royals) and also played with the [Columbia Fireflies](/source/Columbia_Fireflies), batting .293 over 31 games. He played the 2024 season with the [Quad Cities River Bandits](/source/Quad_Cities_River_Bandits) and hit .208 with ten home runs, 62 RBIs, and 34 stolen bases over 122 games, and was also named the Royals Defensive Player of the Year.[10] Roccaforte opened the 2025 season with Quad Cities and was promoted to the [Northwest Arkansas Naturals](/source/Northwest_Arkansas_Naturals) in July.[11] He was assigned to play in the [Arizona Fall League](/source/Arizona_Fall_League) with the [Surprise Saguaros](/source/Surprise_Saguaros) after the season.[12] ## References 1.
