His first acting job was in the 1969 film ''Wild Gypsies''. He also starred in ''[The Ice Pirates](/source/The_Ice_Pirates)''[ (1984), ''[Pee-Wee's Big Adventure](/source/Pee-wee's_Big_Adventure)''][ (1985), ''[Beetlejuice](/source/Beetlejuice)'' (1988), ''[Life Stinks](/source/Life_Stinks)'' (1991), ''[Wayne's World](/source/Wayne's_World_(film))'' (1992), and ''[The Wedding Singer](/source/The_Wedding_Singer)''][ (1998). Carmen also acted in the 2000 [made-for-TV](/source/Television_film) [film](/source/film) ''[Goodbye Casanova](/source/Goodbye_Casanova)'' with [Yasmine Bleeth](/source/Yasmine_Bleeth). Carmen's final film was in the 2002 film ''[Eight Crazy Nights](/source/Eight_Crazy_Nights)''.
He also starred in the 1988 horror film ''[Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers](/source/Halloween_4%3A_The_Return_of_Michael_Myers)'' as the Reverend Jackson P. Sayer.][
