==History==
Carbridge commenced operating on 21 August 1995. Formed by the Todd family, it initially operated staff services for [Sydney Harbour Casino](/source/The_Star%2C_Sydney). When the casino opened on 13 September 1995, it began to operate courtesy buses from the casino to the [Sydney central business district](/source/Sydney_central_business_district) with a fleet of eight [Ansair](/source/Ansair) bodied [Mercedes-Benz](/source/Mercedes-Benz_buses) O400s painted in an all black livery.<ref>"Timetables & Routes" ''Fleetline'' issue 238 September 1995 pages165-166</ref><ref>"Carbridge Pty Ltd" ''Fleetline'' issue 240 January 1996 page 33</ref><ref name=BusinessinFocus>[http://www.businessinfocus.com.au/index.php/2012/08/carbridge/ Carbridge] ''Business in Focus'' August 2012</ref>

By the time the permanent [Star City Casino](/source/The_Star%2C_Sydney) opened in November 1997, long-distance services were being operated to [Newcastle](/source/Newcastle%2C_New_South_Wales), the [Central Coast](/source/Central_Coast%2C_New_South_Wales), the [Blue Mountains](/source/Blue_Mountains%2C_New_South_Wales) and [Wollongong](/source/Wollongong) with late model [Mercedes-Benz](/source/Mercedes-Benz_buses) and [Scania](/source/Scania_AB) coaches.<ref>"Carbridge" ''Australian Bus Panorama'' issue 13/6 June 1998 page 44</ref> By this stage a yellow and blue livery had been adopted.<ref>"Carbridge" ''Fleetline'' issue 257 November 1998 page 210</ref> Most Star City services ceased in 1998, with the fleet sold off.<ref>"Carbridge Pty Ltd" ''Fleetline'' issue 258 January 1999 page 27</ref>

Carbridge then diversified into operating [airport bus](/source/airport_bus) services, winning a contract at [Sydney Airport](/source/Sydney_Airport) with [Neoplan](/source/Neoplan) apron buses purchased from Hong Kong's [Kai Tak Airport](/source/Kai_Tak_Airport).<ref>"Carbridge" ''Australian Bus Panorama'' issue 14/5 April 1999 page 48</ref><ref>"Carbridge Airside" ''Australian Bus Panorama'' issue 15/2 October 1999 page 40</ref> It has since expanded to operate services between airport terminals and car parks at [Adelaide](/source/Adelaide_Airport), [Brisbane](/source/Brisbane_Airport), [Melbourne](/source/Melbourne_Airport), [Perth](/source/Perth_Airport) and Sydney airports.<ref name=BusinessinFocus/>
