**Capt. Jacob Shoemaker House** is a historic home located in [Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area](/source/Delaware_Water_Gap_National_Recreation_Area) at [Middle Smithfield Township](/source/Middle_Smithfield_Township%2C_Monroe_County%2C_Pennsylvania), [Monroe County, Pennsylvania](/source/Monroe_County%2C_Pennsylvania). It was built about 1810, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, [fieldstone](/source/Fieldstone) dwelling over a banked stone basement. It has a gable roof with two dormers. The rear of the building has a two-story porch. It was the home of the locally prominent Shoemaker family.[2]

It was added to the [National Register of Historic Places](/source/National_Register_of_Historic_Places) in 1979.[1]
