***Capone Cries a Lot*** (カポネ大いに泣く, ****Kapone ōi ni naku****; aka ***Capone's Flood of Tears***) is a 1985 Japanese comedy directed by [Seijun Suzuki](/source/Seijun_Suzuki) and starring [Kenichi Hagiwara](/source/Kenichi_Hagiwara).[1] The film is based on the novel of the same name by [Toshiyuki Kajiyama](/source/Toshiyuki_Kajiyama).[2][3][4][5]

## Plot

Umiemon ([Kenichi Hagiwara](/source/Kenichi_Hagiwara)) is a [naniwa-bushi](/source/R%C5%8Dkyoku) singer who travels with his wife to the United States in hopes of achieving fame and fortune.
