# Cape Olyutor

**Cape Olyutor** (Russian: мыс Олюторский) is a cape in the [Bering Sea](/source/Bering_Sea), in [Koryak Okrug](/source/Koryak_Okrug) of [Kamchatka Krai](/source/Kamchatka_Krai), [Russia](/source/Russia). It points south at the southern end of the [Olyutor Peninsula](/source/Olyutor_Peninsula), the southern end of the [Olyutor Range](/source/Olyutor_Range).[1] It was named after the [Alyutor](/source/Alyutor) ethnic group.

The [Kereks](/source/Kereks), a former maritime hunting people of the Russian Bering Sea coast, were living between the cape and the [Gulf of Anadyr](/source/Gulf_of_Anadyr).[citation needed]
