This genus is very similar to ''[Bathippus](/source/Bathippus)''.<ref name=murphy283>Murphy & Murphy 2000: 283</ref>

==Description==
Females are up to {{convert|8|mm|in|frac=3|abbr=on}} long, males up to {{convert|10|mm|in|frac=8|abbr=on}}. The longish abdomen is clothed in white hairs with red streaks and bands. Males have very large, long [chelicera](/source/chelicera)e which diverge and project forwards. The long, spiny legs are dark with pale tarsi and metatarsi.<ref name=murphy283/>
