==Early life==
Goode is the son of James and Crystal Goode. His father played college football at Oklahoma and was selected in the fifth round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the [Atlanta Falcons](/source/Atlanta_Falcons) but never played in an NFL contest. Goode attended high school at [Klein Collins High School](/source/Klein_Collins_High_School) in [Klein, Texas](/source/Klein%2C_Texas) where he played football. At the [University of California, Berkeley](/source/University_of_California%2C_Berkeley), Goode was a member of the [California Golden Bears](/source/California_Golden_Bears_football) for six seasons and [redshirted](/source/redshirt_(college_sports)) his true freshman season.
