# Cameron Golden

**Cameron Golden** (born 2 June 1999)[1] is a [field hockey](/source/Field_hockey) player from Scotland, who plays as a forward.[2][3]

## Biography

Golden was born and raised in [Dundee](/source/Dundee,_Scotland), Scotland.[4] His younger brother, [Jamie](/source/Jamie_Golden), also represents Scotland in hockey.[5]

Golden made his debut for the [Scotland U–21](/source/Scotland_men's_national_under-21_field_hockey_team) side at the [2017 EuroHockey Junior Championship II](/source/2017_Men's_EuroHockey_Junior_Championship_II) in St. Petersburg.[6] Following his Scotland junior debut, Golden went on to represent the [Great Britain](/source/Great_Britain_men's_national_under-21_field_hockey_team) junior side and appeared at the [2017 Sultan of Johor Cup](/source/2017_Sultan_of_Johor_Cup), winning silver and then took gold at the [2018 Sultan of Johor Cup](/source/2018_Sultan_of_Johor_Cup) in [Johor Bahru](/source/Johor_Bahru).[7][6]

Golden made his Scottish senior international debut in 2018[2][6] and captained the Scotland junior team to a gold medal at the [EuroHockey Junior Championship tier 2](/source/2019_Men's_EuroHockey_Junior_Championship_II) in [Plzeň](/source/Plze%C5%88).[8][6]

In 2019, Golden joined Dutch club Klein Zwitserland before joining German club [Uhlenhorster HC](/source/Uhlenhorster_HC) the following year. He medalled with the Scottish senior team for the first time in 2021, taking home silver at the [EuroHockey Championship II](/source/2021_Men's_EuroHockey_Championship_II) in [Gniezno](/source/Gniezno).[6]

In 2022, Golden was named in the squad for the [2022 Commonwealth Games](/source/2022_Commonwealth_Games) in Birmingham.[9][10]
