**Calvin Sinclair Lowry** (born February 13, 1983) is an American [football](/source/American_football) coach and former [safety](/source/Safety_(American_football_position)).

## Early life

Lowry starred at [wide receiver](/source/Wide_receiver) and [defensive back](/source/Defensive_back) at [Douglas Byrd High School](/source/Douglas_Byrd_High_School) in [Fayetteville, North Carolina](/source/Fayetteville,_North_Carolina).

## Playing career

He played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Penn State](/source/Penn_State_Nittany_Lions_football).

He was drafted by the [Tennessee Titans](/source/Tennessee_Titans) in the fourth round of the [2006 NFL draft](/source/2006_NFL_draft) with the 102nd overall pick.[1]

On August 31, 2008, he was claimed by the [Denver Broncos](/source/Denver_Broncos).[2]

He was also a member of the [Jacksonville Jaguars](/source/Jacksonville_Jaguars), [Detroit Lions](/source/Detroit_Lions), and [Omaha Nighthawks](/source/Omaha_Nighthawks).

## Coaching career

In January 2015, he was hired to be an assistant coach at Tulsa.[3][4][5]

In January 2023, Lowry joined the staff at his alma mater, Penn State as an offensive analyst.[6]
