# Caltadria

The **diocese of Caltadria** (Latin: *Dioecesis Caltadriensis*) is a suppressed and [titular see](/source/Titular_see) of the [Roman Catholic Church](/source/Roman_Catholic_Church).[1][2]

The location of the [bishopric](/source/Bishopric)'s original [cathedra](/source/Cathedra) is now lost[3] but it was in today's [Algeria](/source/Algeria), and is recorded of the [Roman province](/source/Roman_province) of [Mauretania Caesariensis](/source/Mauretania_Caesariensis) during [late antiquity](/source/Late_antiquity).[4][5][6]

The only known bishop of this diocese is Victor, who took part in the [synod assembled in Carthage in 484](/source/Council_of_Carthage_(484)) by the [Vandal](/source/Vandals) King [Huneric](/source/Huneric), after which Victor was exiled. Today Caltadria survives as a [titular bishopric](/source/Titular_bishop) and the current bishop is Janusz Ostrowski, of [Warmia](/source/Warmia), Poland.
