==Amateur career==
In 2021, Surratt won the [Terra Cotta Invitational](/source/Terra_Cotta_Invitational), Junior PGA Championship, Bobby Chapman Invitational and [Western Junior](/source/Western_Junior). He was ranked as the No. 2 player in the country by Junior Golf Scoreboard, and named Rolex Junior First Team All-American. He was a member of the U.S. team for the 2021 [Junior Ryder Cup](/source/Junior_Ryder_Cup), which was cancelled due to the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic).<ref name=utsports/>
