==Biography==
A child prodigy of mountaineering, Cimenti climbed [Mont Blanc](/source/Mont_Blanc) with his father at age 12. In 2015, he became the first Italian to win a [Snow Leopard award](/source/Snow_Leopard_award). He also climbed [Cho Oyu](/source/Cho_Oyu), [Manaslu](/source/Manaslu), [Dhaulagiri I](/source/Dhaulagiri_I), [Nanga Parbat](/source/Nanga_Parbat) and Gasherbrum VII, where he saved the life of his friend, fellow mountaineer and former rugby player {{ill|Francesco Cassardo|it}}.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.repubblica.it/esteri/2019/07/04/news/nanga_parbat_cala_cimenti-230287913/|title=Nanga Parbat, il torinese Cala Cimenti arriva in vetta.
