'''Cytokine receptor-like factor 2''' (also known as TSLP receptor, TSLP-R) is a [protein](/source/protein) that in humans is encoded by the ''CRLF2'' [gene](/source/gene). It forms a ternary signaling complex with [TSLP](/source/TSLP) and [interleukin-7 receptor-α](/source/interleukin-7_receptor-%CE%B1), capable of stimulating [cell proliferation](/source/cell_proliferation) through activation of STAT3, STAT5 and JAK2 pathways and is implicated in the development of the [hematopoietic system](/source/hematopoietic_system). Rearrangement of this gene with [immunoglobulin](/source/immunoglobulin) heavy chain gene (IGH) (chromosome 14), or with P2Y purinoceptor 8 gene (P2RY8) (chromosome X or Y) is associated with B-progenitor- and [Down syndrome](/source/Down_syndrome)- acute [lymphoblastic leukemia](/source/lymphoblastic_leukemia) (ALL).<ref name="Zhang_2001">{{cite journal | vauthors = Zhang W, Wang J, Wang Q, Chen G, Zhang J, Chen T, Wan T, Zhang Y, Cao X | title = Identification of a novel type I cytokine receptor CRL2 preferentially expressed by human dendritic cells and activated monocytes | journal = Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications | volume = 281 | issue = 4 | pages = 878–883 | date = March 2001 | pmid = 11237741 | doi = 10.1006/bbrc.2001.4432 | bibcode = 2001BBRC..281..878Z }}</ref><ref name="Tonozuka_2001">{{cite journal | vauthors = Tonozuka Y, Fujio K, Sugiyama T, Nosaka T, Hirai M, Kitamura T | title = Molecular cloning of a human novel type I cytokine receptor related to delta1/TSLPR | journal = Cytogenetics and Cell Genetics | volume = 93 | issue = 1–2 | pages = 23–25 | date = Jul 2001 | pmid = 11474172 | doi = 10.1159/000056941 | s2cid = 83630087 }}</ref><ref name="entrez">{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: CRLF2 cytokine receptor-like factor 2 | url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=64109 }}</ref>

[Cytokine](/source/Cytokine) signals are mediated through specific [receptor](/source/sensory_receptor) complexes, the components of which are mostly members of the type I cytokine receptor family. Type I cytokine receptors share conserved structural features in their [extracellular domain](/source/extracellular_domain). Receptor complexes are typically heterodimeric, consisting of [alpha chain](/source/alpha_chain)s, which provide ligand specificity, and beta (or gamma) chains, which are required for the formation of high-affinity binding sites and [signal transduction](/source/signal_transduction).<ref name="entrez" />
