'''CJOI-FM''' is a [French-language](/source/French_language) Canadian [radio station](/source/radio_station) located in [Rimouski](/source/Rimouski), Quebec.

Owned and operated by [Arsenal Media](/source/Arsenal_Media), it broadcasts on 102.9 [MHz](/source/Hertz) with an [effective radiated power](/source/effective_radiated_power) of 33,600 [watt](/source/watt)s ([class B](/source/List_of_broadcast_station_classes)) using an [omnidirectional antenna](/source/omnidirectional_antenna).

The station has an [adult contemporary](/source/adult_contemporary) [format](/source/radio_format) and is a member of the "Viva FM" network. CJOI was a former member of the "[Rouge FM](/source/Rouge_FM)" (formerly RockDétente) network from June 2005 until April 2025, when [Bell Media](/source/Bell_Media) sold CJOI to Arsenal.

==History==
Originally known as CFLP when it opened in 1978 as an [AM](/source/AM_broadcasting) station on 1000 [kHz](/source/Hertz) (and identified itself as "Radio Mille"), the station moved to the FM band in late 2000, due to serious problems in nighttime coverage resulting from a very directional signal necessary to protect [WMVP](/source/WMVP) in [Chicago](/source/Chicago), [Illinois](/source/Illinois). The station switched its call sign when it moved to FM and changed its format from [talk](/source/talk_radio) to [adult contemporary](/source/adult_contemporary) (and abandoned its [Radiomédia](/source/Corus_Qu%C3%A9bec) affiliation).<ref>[http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2000/DB2000-131.htm Decision CRTC 2000-131]</ref>

On August 18, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. [EDT](/source/Eastern_Time), all "RockDétente" stations, including CJOI, rebranded as ''[Rouge FM](/source/Rouge_FM)''. The last song under "RockDétente" was "[Pour que tu m'aimes encore](/source/Pour_que_tu_m'aimes_encore)" by [Celine Dion](/source/Celine_Dion), followed by a tribute of the branding. The first song under "Rouge" was "[I Gotta Feeling](/source/I_Gotta_Feeling)" by [Black Eyed Peas](/source/Black_Eyed_Peas). Astral was acquired by [Bell Media](/source/Bell_Media) in 2012.

On February 8, 2024, Bell announced a restructuring that included the sale of 45 of its 103 radio stations to seven buyers, subject to approval by the CRTC, including CJOI, which was to be sold to Arsenal Media.<ref>{{cite news |last1=Hudes |first1=Sammy |title='Not a viable business anymore': Bell Media selling 45 radio stations amid layoffs |url=https://www.thestar.com/business/not-a-viable-business-anymore-bell-media-selling-45-radio-stations-amid-layoffs/article_59a7d1cd-4fb8-5494-9dd6-01b6d3b96364.html |access-date=8 February 2024 |work=[Toronto Star](/source/Toronto_Star) |agency=[The Canadian Press](/source/The_Canadian_Press) |date=8 February 2024}}</ref> On March 11, 2025 the CRTC approved the sale to [Arsenal Media](/source/Arsenal_Media).<ref>[https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2025/2025-76.htm Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2025-76] ''CRTC'', March 11, 2025</ref>

On April 22, 2025, CJOI flipped to ''Viva FM''.
