**Butt Lane** is a village in the [civil parish](/source/Civil_parish) of [Kidsgrove](/source/Kidsgrove), in the [Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme](/source/Borough_of_Newcastle-under-Lyme), in the county of [Staffordshire](/source/Staffordshire), England. The village borders on [Church Lawton](/source/Church_Lawton) in [Cheshire](/source/Cheshire). A [ward](/source/Butt_Lane_(ward)) of the borough is named after it. It is also close to the towns of [Alsager](/source/Alsager) and Kidsgrove.

## Amenities

Butt Lane is mostly a residential area with the neighbouring village of [Talke](/source/Talke) having most of the amenities for the local residents. As well as Kidsgrove, which is a short distance to the east.

## Transport

The village has regular bus services to Kidsgrove, [Crewe](/source/Crewe), [Biddulph](/source/Biddulph), [Congleton](/source/Congleton), [Stoke-on-Trent](/source/Stoke-on-Trent). [Alsager](/source/Alsager) and [Newcastle-under-Lyme](/source/Newcastle-under-Lyme).[1]
