The play considers the impact of war on the relationship between an officer, Oscar, who uses a wheelchair after service in the [Falklands](/source/Falklands_War), and Eddie, a young private accused of throwing an eight-year-old boy down a well during a raid in the Middle East.<ref>[https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2011/may/15/bully-boy-review Bully Boy – Review]</ref> The show is critical of politicians who launch wars without regard for the consequences.
