Located at Bull Arm is the [Bull Arm Fabrication Site](/source/Bull_Arm_Fabrication_Site), which is the construction site of the [Hibernia](/source/Hibernia_(oil_field)) [GBS](/source/gravity-based_structure), as well as the [Hebron](/source/Hebron-Ben_Nevis_oil_field) GBS. The area was chosen due to its natural deep channel to [Trinity Bay](/source/Trinity_Bay%2C_Newfoundland_and_Labrador) and its calm waters in the arm.
