# Bryce Anderson

**Bryce Anderson** (born April 9, 2004)[1] is an American [college football](/source/College_football) [safety](/source/Safety_(gridiron_football_position)) for the [Texas A&M Aggies](/source/Texas_A%26M_Aggies_football).

## Early life

Anderson attended [West Brook High School](/source/West_Brook_High_School) in [Beaumont, Texas](/source/Beaumont,_Texas). He was rated as a four-star [recruit](/source/College_recruiting) and initially committed to play [college football](/source/College_football) for the [LSU Tigers](/source/LSU_Tigers_football) over offers from schools such as Alabama, Florida, Texas A&M and Texas.[2] However, over a year later, he de-committed from the Tigers and committed to play for the [Texas A&M Aggies](/source/Texas_A%26M_Aggies_football).[3]

## College career

As a [freshman](/source/Freshman) in 2022, Anderson notched 28 tackles, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries for the Aggies.[4] In 2023, he totaled 55 tackles with seven being for a loss, a sack and a half, five pass deflections, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.[5] In week 3 of the 2024 season, Anderson intercepted a pass which he returned 45 yards for a touchdown in a win over [Florida](/source/2024_Florida_Gators_football_team).[6]
