'''Bryan Street''' is a prominent street in [Savannah, Georgia](/source/Savannah%2C_Georgia), United States. Located between [Bay Street](/source/Bay_Street_(Savannah%2C_Georgia)) to the north and [Congress Street](/source/Congress_Street_(Savannah%2C_Georgia)) to the south, it runs for about {{convert|1.10|miles}} from a cul-de-sac in the west to [East Broad Street](/source/East_Broad_Street_(Savannah%2C_Georgia)) in the east. Originally known only as Bryan Street singular, its addresses are now split between "West Bryan Street" and "East Bryan Street", the transition occurring at [Bull Street](/source/Bull_Street) in the center of the downtown area. Bryan Street is named for the Bryan family (brothers Hugh, [Jonathan](/source/Jonathan_Bryan) and Joseph), of [South Carolina](/source/South_Carolina), who assisted [James Edward Oglethorpe](/source/James_Edward_Oglethorpe) in establishing the Savannah colony.<ref>{{Cite book |last=Cope |first=Tony |title=It's Not That Lincoln |publisher=The Abercorn Press |year=2016}}</ref> The street is entirely within [Savannah Historic District](/source/Savannah_Historic_District_(Savannah%2C_Georgia)), a [National Historic Landmark District](/source/National_Historic_Landmark_District).<ref name="nrhpinv2">James Dillon (1977) {{NHLS url|id=66000277|title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination: The Savannah Georgia NHL Historic District}}, National Park Service and {{NHLS url|id=66000277|title=''Accompanying 25 photos, from 1964, 1973''|photos=y}}</ref>
