**Bryan Llenas** (born July 12, 1988) is an American television news correspondent on the [Fox News Channel](/source/Fox_News). He has covered both national and international stories, including mass shootings, terror attacks and natural disasters.

## Early life

Llenas is from [Boca Raton, Florida](/source/Boca_Raton%2C_Florida). He attended the [University of Miami](/source/University_of_Miami) and graduated in 2010[1] with a degree in broadcast journalism and political science. There he was inducted into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, the “highest honor attained at the University of Miami,” [2] and in 2017 won the University of Miami "Communicator of the Year" Award.[3]

## Journalism career

Llenas is a correspondent at Fox News. Some of his first stories covered at Fox News were the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the inauguration of Pope Francis in [Rome](/source/Rome), and the Pope's visit to the United States.[1]

He has reported on the trial of Mexican Drug lord Joaquin '[El Chapo](/source/El_Chapo)' Guzman in New York,[4] the [Bill Cosby trial](/source/Bill_Cosby_trial),[5] the [Trump administration family separation policy](/source/Trump_administration_family_separation_policy),[6] the [mass shooting at a church](/source/Sutherland_Springs_church_shooting) in Sutherland Springs, Texas,[7] [Hurricane Irma](/source/Hurricane_Irma) and [Hurricane Maria](/source/Hurricane_Maria) in Puerto Rico,[8] President Donald Trump's transition team,[9] and the [September 2016 terrorist bombings](/source/2016_New_York_and_New_Jersey_bombings) in both Manhattan and New Jersey.[10]

## Personal life

Llenas is gay and has talked openly about working for a conservative company as a gay minority and being accepted at Fox News.[11]
