**Bryan Goncalves** (born 19 July 1996) is a French professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [centre-back](/source/Centre-back) for Belgian club [Dender EH](/source/F.C.V._Dender_E.H.).

## Career

Goncalves was a youth player for Conflans FC and FC Herblay where he played as a [striker](/source/Striker_(association_football)).[1] He pretended he played as a [centre-back](/source/Centre-back) in a trial with [Paris Saint-Germain](/source/Paris_Saint-Germain_Academy) and ended up joining their reserves at the age of 18.[2] He began his senior career with their reserves in 2015. He was released and moved to non-league football with Conflans FC before moving to [Toulouse Rodéo](/source/Toulouse_Rod%C3%A9o_FC) in 2017.[3] After a short stint with them, he again moved to non-league football with [Saint-Leu](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_Club_de_Saint-Leu) before moving to the reserves of [Marseille](/source/Olympique_de_Marseille) in 2018.[4] He followed that up with successive stints at semi-pro clubs Houilles and [Racing Besançon](/source/Racing_Besan%C3%A7on), before moving to the [Championnat National 3](/source/Championnat_National_3) side [Versailles](/source/FC_Versailles_78) and helping them achieve promotion in his debut season with them.[5] On 17 June 2021, he transferred to [Laval](/source/Stade_Lavallois) in the [Championnat National](/source/Championnat_National).[6] He again won promotion with Laval in his debut season, this time into the [Ligue 2](/source/Ligue_2) as a starter.[7]

On 31 July 2023, Goncalves signed a three-year contract with [Beveren](/source/S.K._Beveren) in Belgium.[8]

## Personal life

Born in France, Goncalves also holds [Portuguese nationality](/source/Portuguese_nationality_law)[9] through his mother.[10]
