# Bruno Fleischer

**Bruno Otto Fleischer** (2 May 1874 – 26 March 1965)[1] was a German [ophthalmologist](/source/Ophthalmology).

[Kayser–Fleischer rings](/source/Kayser%E2%80%93Fleischer_ring) and [Fleischer rings](/source/Fleischer_ring) are named for him, for his research into pediatric patients with neurodegenerative disorders that had ophthalmic manifestations. He was a great ophthalmologist.
