# Brunner baronets

The **Brunner Baronetcy**, of Druids Cross in the parish of Little Woolton in the [County Palatine of Lancaster](/source/County_Palatine_of_Lancaster); of [Winnington Old Hall](/source/Winnington_Hall) in the parish of [Winnington](/source/Winnington) in the [County Palatine of Chester](/source/County_Palatine_of_Chester); and of [Ennismore Gardens](/source/Ennismore_Gardens) in the parish of [St Margaret's, Westminster](/source/St_Margaret's,_Westminster) in the [County of London](/source/County_of_London), is a title in the [Baronetage of the United Kingdom](/source/Baronetage_of_the_United_Kingdom).[1]

It was created on 27 July 1895 for the industrialist, [Liberal](/source/Liberal_Party_(UK)) politician and philanthropist [John Brunner](/source/Sir_John_Brunner,_1st_Baronet). He was the second son of Reverend John Brunner, of [Zürich](/source/Z%C3%BCrich), [Switzerland](/source/Switzerland). The second and third Baronets were also Liberal politicians. The fourth Baronet was a cousin of [Katharine, Duchess of Kent](/source/Katharine,_Duchess_of_Kent) (great-granddaughter of the 1st baronet).
