He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Nebraska Cornhuskers](/source/Nebraska_Cornhuskers_football). He played in the NFL for the [San Diego Chargers](/source/San_Diego_Chargers) (two stints), [Buffalo Bills](/source/Buffalo_Bills), and as a replacement player for the [Seattle Seahawks](/source/Seattle_Seahawks) during the 1987 strike season.[2]
