In the centre of Kirchbrombach stands the [Evangelical](/source/Evangelical_Church_in_Germany) church built in the mid 15th century with its [polyptych](/source/polyptych), or “winged”, altar, built in 1518 and dedicated to [Saint Alban](/source/Alban_of_Mainz). The church belonged until the [Reformation](/source/Protestant_Reformation) to [Saint Alban’s Abbey](/source/St._Alban's_Abbey%2C_Mainz) in [Mainz](/source/Mainz).
