Born in [Wallasey](/source/Wallasey), [Cheshire](/source/Cheshire), he starred as the eponymous policeman in the BBC radio series ''PC49''. His films include ''[Orders Are Orders](/source/Orders_Are_Orders_(1955_film))'' (1954), ''[A Case for PC 49](/source/A_Case_for_PC_49)'' (1951), ''[Geordie](/source/Geordie_(film))'' (1955) and ''[Carry On Admiral](/source/Carry_On_Admiral)'' (1957). Reece lived from 1948 until 1953 at No. 59 [Strand-on-the-Green](/source/Strand-on-the-Green), in West London. Reece died in London, aged 48.
